Introduction

Christchurch Care Agency was originally established as Grapevine Employment Agency in August 1990 with a dream of making a difference in our community by providing a 24 hour basic care system for our clients. Christchurch Health Centre (an organisation which incorporates a Prevention Clinic - Christchurch Clinics and Christchurch Pharmacy) took over the ownership in August 2010 with a view to further fulfil our vision to promote health and well being in our community.

We are an independent family run care agency providing home care to our clients. We understand the importance of being in your own home environment and to receive care on a one-to-one basis. We cover Braintree and Halstead areas and neighbouring villages.

With our multidisciplinary team (including a Medical Doctor, Pharmacist, and highly trained experienced specialist carers), we provide care for the elderly and for people who are housebound, physically frail, terminally ill, those with memory loss and for young adults with learning or physical difficulties, together with childcare for those parents who wish to return to work, school holidays or just need an extra pair of hands.

Home care and child care services are provided to the private and public sectors. The needs of the clients and their family are identified through a process which involves the Manager visiting you at home to carry out a comprehensive assessment. This helps identify the client’s physical, psychological and social needs and the families’ requirement for childcare. Thereafter, named members of staff are identified as primarily responsible for the agency’s interaction with the client.

An individualised care plan is drawn up with the client and a family member if preferred and is reviewed at regular intervals.
