We have an excellent team of highly skilled professional staff who are carefully
recruited through a rigorous selection process, which includes face to face
interview, information on best practice, reference checks and Criminal Records
Bureau Disclosure.
Christchurch invests in training that helps to meet its goals of providing a quality
service, which are achieved by increasing the knowledge, skills and competences of
its staff to meet the needs of clients.
All staff undergoes an induction process and following that each care worker has
continuous training so that we deliver the highest quality services to you. This
training includes appropriate Health and Safety issues such as Food & Hygiene,
Moving & Handling, Medicines Management, Protection of Vulnerable Adults, Handling
Hazardous Substances and Safeguarding.
We aim for all our care workers to have NVQ level 2 training in Health and Social Care.

Managing Director / Responsible Provider - Dr Dupe Akomolafe
(MB;BS,DRCOG,DFFP,MRCGP) is a local GP who qualified as a Medical Doctor in 1994
and has been working in General Practice since 2003. Her job is centred around caring
for people of all ages and with a wide range of medical conditions. She also has
personal experience caring for family members.
Pharmaceutical Adviser - Baba Akomolafe
(MRPharmS, BPharm) is the Superintendent Pharmacist at Christchurch Pharmacy. He
also holds a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy in the Community, from Aston University
and is a Pharmacy trainer. He has undertaken training with Allergy UK to provide
Allergy screening services.
Christchuch Care Agency Manager - Christine Wood
(N.N.E.B) has been with Christchuch for 5 years. She has 33 years experience in
Childcare working in hospitals, nurseries and montessori. She holds an NVQ 3 in
Management and a CACHE in Special Needs. She is currently working towards NVQ4 in
Care Management.
Christchuch Care Agency Manager - Coral Palmer
Has worked in Care Homes and Domestic Care Services. She has 4 years Managerial
experience and is currently working towards NVQ4 in Care Management.
Care Co-ordinator - Cara Zammutt
Has been with Christchuch for 9 months. She has 3 years care experience, 2 years
of those community care, and 1 year mainly one-to-one care. She is currently
working towards NVQ3.
Accounts Administrator - Nicky Joyce
Has been with Christchuch for 7 years and worked as a freelance book keeper for 20
years. She has an RSA in Double Entry Book Keeping.
